Large, full service resort with spa, entertainment venue a 522 room hotel. This is a huge casino that has some "cold" spots, probably because it's so large and spread out. An odd design, actually---it's kind of separated into large rooms or corridors and it's easy to get (temporarily) lost. The Casino has one of best Live Poker Rooms and is located just beyond San Diego County in Temecula Valley, about an hour's drive from Downtown San Diego. It's the closest casino to Los Angeles and Orange counties Beautiful hotel with 622 spacious rooms - rated 4 Diamonds by the AAA. Hotel features a Pool, Spa and 24 hour room service. The layout of the hotel and casino is such that you don't have to walk through the casino to get to many of the restaurants and amenities; so, it's a good choice if you are bringing children. AMBIANCE: A younger crowd than you usually find at a casino, probably because of chic nightclub and the popular poker room. ENTERTAINMENT: Great entertainment and Clubs, like the Eagles Nest, located on top floor of the Casino. Pechanga also features a popular Improv Comedy Club. LIVE POKER ROOM: The Poker Room, located upstairs, has over 50 tables with limits both high and low limits as well as daily and special tournaments. Great place to play live poker---a lot of action here at various table limits. Popular and well run. VIDEO POKER: You will find some $1 Full Pay Video Poker Machines on Game King Machines by the Paisanos Restaurant but don't play at the Round Bar or you will pay dearly with a 6/5 (yes, 6/5) Quarter Jacks or Better and a 7/5 $1 Jacks or Better. TABLE GAMES: Table Games include 4 Ultimate Texas Hold Em Tables - one with $10 minimum, two with a $15 minimum and one with a $25 minimum---this was on a Sunday afternoon. Craps and Roulette are available California style (with cards). There is also a very cool multi-seat Mini-Baccarat Quarter slot machine game. I've seen the casino raise the limits on some of the popular table games once they get a full table for a while. I mean, all casinos are in it for the money but it's just a bit more obvious here. Some of the dealers give the impression they are competitive with you. Ahhh..I think you are suppose to pretend you want the player to right? Their Players Club/comps are not as generous as some of the other casinos. |
